First time and return patients have an opportunity to connect with a highly trained and skilled acupuncturist to discover new ways to approach health concerns, wellness goals, and aging gracefully. Whether you have fertility concerns, pain to address, or are looking for wellness support, acupuncture can help you achieve your health goals. Acupuncture happens in a quiet, private space where you are held by a warmed table, have access to music, aromatherapy (if desired), warming moxibustion or infrared lamps. The acupuncturist inserts fine, solid needles into specific body points to address your health concerns.

Chaiya started working in traditional medicines in 1995 as an Ayurvedic assistant. Since then she has worked as a massage therapist, doula, and acupuncturist, with minor forays into the world of realty, insurance, and even photography.

She graduated from Bastyr University with both her masters and doctoral degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the DAOM being the highest degree in the field. Her dissertation was on the intersection of chronic pain and how unresolved emotion contributes to pain management challenges. She spent 2 years working at Harborview Medical Center on the Acute Pain Service team as an acupuncture intern. She founded and opened The Village Acupuncture & Health Clinic in May 2022.

Chaiya is also the current President of Washington Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine Association, the Washington State association of acupuncturists. She loves helping her colleagues through education and legislative leadership.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll probably find her surrounded by animals out in the garden.
